Lage und Umgebung

Das Gästeapartment liegt nahe am Fetscherplatz, mitten in einem ruhigen Jugendstil-Villenviertel. Der Bäcker ist gleich um die Ecke. Vom Fetscherplatz (3 min zu Fuß) aus haben Sie mit den Straßenbahnlinien 4,10 und 12 sowie dem Bus 64 gute Anbindung ins Stadtzentrum, zum Hauptbahnhof und in die Umgebung. Der Haltepunkt Strehlen, fußläufig durch den Großen Garten zu erreichen, ist eine S-Bahnstation, die zum Hauptbahnhof und in die Sächsische Schweiz (Wander- und Erholungsgebiet) führt.

Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Ärzte, Chemische Reinigung und Apotheken sind am Fetscherplatz sowie der Einkaufsstraße Borsbergstraße zu finden. Kindergärten und Schule sind leicht zu erreichen. Die Medizinische Akademie der TU Dresden liegt fußläufig entfernt, so dass auch Begleitung während Klinikaufenthalten von Angehörigen gut möglich ist.

  Eine große, helle und freundliche Ferienwohnung mit jeder Menge Platz!
  Die Wohnung ist mit wirklich allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Daher ist sie sowohl für einen Kurztrip nach DD als auch für die Langzeitmiete hervorragend geeignet. Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich, offen und immer erreichbar. In unmittelbarer Nähe finden sich gute Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, die Anbindung an die öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel und (für Familien) ein schöner Spielplatz. Das Viertel mit seinen alten Villen lädt zum Spazieren und Wohlfühlen ein.
  Wir kommen sehr gern wieder.

  The apartment is a perfect place to set up your work or vacation stay in Dresden. The space is elegant, quiet and comfortable with plenty of kitchen, bath and bed supplies to suit most everyone’s needs. You have a washer/dryer, a dishwasher, coffee maker and more available right in the apartment. The balcony is an excellent place to eat breakfast, drink a glass of wine and listen to the birds or watch the passers by. The hosts have left recommendations for places to sight-see in Dresden and also stable WiFi and office supplies if you must stay in and work. For location, it couldn’t be any better. The tram and shops are only a three minute walk from your front door. If you like a walk, run or bike ride, the lovely Grosser Garten is just a few blocks away. Most of all, the kindness of Petra and Uli and the other house residents makes Dresden quickly feel like home.

  A fantastic place to stay! the two of us spent a year here and were very happy. the apartment is beautiful; the location is quiet yet close to multiple tram lines, grocery stores, restaurants, and the great garden and zoo; and the landlords are super nice and responsive. in fact, we now consider them friends. we look forward to staying here again in future trips to dresden!in terms of location, the building is in an historic jugendstil area, a little two block area that survived the bombings. the buildings are beautiful with lots of original decoration, including birds, lions, and other creatures. fetscherplatz is just a 5-7 minute walk away. there you can find a konsum grocery store, a dm drug store, and an apotheke. for transporation, there are three tram lines (4, 10, 12) there. the 4 and 12 go downtown (altmarkt & postplatz), the 10 to the hauptbahnhof. they come every 10-15 minutes and the trip is 10-15 minutes. or you can walk downtown in 40 minutes. you can also walk less than ten minutes to reach the 1 and the 2, which take you downtown; at the same location is a lidl grocery store; and just across the street from there is the great garden, where there are at least four different beer gardens, a zoo, and lots of green paths to explore. from the apartment, you can also walk less than ten minutes to reach another area with restaurants, a book store, a post office/office supply store, and a giant kaufland supermarket which has everything you can think of. in other words, there is tons in walking distance, but it’s also super easy to get anywhere you want to go. the apartment is quiet -- great for getting lots of writing done from home. the landlords set up a second desk for us and a couple bookshelves to accommodate our needs, and were always accessible, friendly, and responsive. that is worth its weight in gold! we have only positive things to say about this apartment and recommend it highly!

  Es ist eine sehr schöne, helle und große Stadtwohnung. Technisch perfekt mit allen notwendigem Einrichtungen ausgestattet. Sie liegt ideal in einem noch gut erhaltenen, ruhigem Jugendstilviertel. Die Entfernungen zur Innenstadt, 10 Minuten mit der Straßenbahn oder 10 Minuten zu Fuß zum Großen Garten, sind ideal. Bei unserem nächsten Besuch in Dresden werden wir bestimmt wieder dort Wohnen.

  It is a beautiful apartment in a beautiful historical building. Very practical, spacious and comfortable too. It is located in the nicest neighborhood in Dresden, and so close to the city center. Very well served by public transportation and easy to reach all the points of interest in and around the city. I stayed there twice and hope to come back!

  Vom März bis September 2017 habe ich als Gastwissenschaftler an der TU Dresden in Dresden gearbeitet. Ich habe mich in dieser tollen Wohnung sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Wohnung ist in einer schönen Jugendstilvilla in der Nähe von Großem Garten mit schönem Blick ins Grüne. Von der nächsten Haltestelle Fetscherplatz gelangt man in kurzer Zeit ins Stadtzentrum, also Altstadt, und natürlich auch in die TU. Die Wohnung ist sehr sauber und gemütlich eingerichtet. Ich fühlte mich als ausländischer (japanischer) Wissenschaftler sehr wohl, auch weil die Vermieterin, Frau Dr. Pötschke, ebenfalls Wissenschaftlerin ist und einen langen Aufenthalt im Ausland erfahren hat. Also verstehen sie und ihr Mann perfekt, welche Ferienwohung für uns ideal ist und was an Ausstattung für einen längeren Aufenthalt alles benötigt wird. Und das war alles vorhanden. Deshalb kann ich diese Wohnung nur sehr empfehlen und bedanke mich für die Gastfreundschaft der Vermieter.

  Anlässlich einer Fortbildungsreise fand ich diese sehr hübsche Stadtwohnung in einem der schönsten Stadtteile von Dresden. Es war herrlich, in dieser großzügigen Wohnung den Aufenthalt in Dresden zu genießen! Neben der spannenden Fortbildung gab es auch Zeit, das nahe gelegene Stadtzentrum kennen zu lernen und nach den Aktivitäten war es eine Freude, in diese Wohnung zurückkommen zu können. Alles in allem eine perfekte Bleibe!
